-appuntamento e appointment-

Nota d'uso
Appuntamento corrisponde ad “appointment” solo in contesti lavorativi o in caso di visite mediche: Ho un appuntamento dal dentista alle 9, I have an appointment at the dentist's at 9. Quando invece si tratta di un appuntamento romantico, si usa la parola “date”: È vero che hai un appuntamento con Chiara?, is it true that you've got a date with Chiara? Nel caso di appuntamenti con amici o simili, si ricorre spesso a “to meet”: Abbiamo appuntamento davanti al bar, we're meeting in front of the bar.
